Taken from the top floor of a deserted tobacco warehouse on the west side of the city. Strangely, the place still smelt strongly of tobacco even though it must have been abandoned for years.
Luckily, I went there before I watched I am Legend otherwise there is no way I'd enter a dark gloomy building full of shadows and who knows what.
"Birds flying high you know how I feel
Sun in the sky you know how I feel
Reeds driftin on by you know how I feel
(refrain:)
Its a new dawn
Its a new day
Its a new life
For me
And Im feeling good
Fish in the sea you know how I feel
River running free you know how I feel
Blossom in the tree you know how I feel
(refrain)
Dragonfly out in the sun you know what I mean, dont you know
Butterflies all havin fun you know what I mean
Sleep in peace when day is done
Thats what I mean
And this old world is a new world
And a bold world
For me
Stars when you shine you know how I feel
Scent of the pine you know how I feel
Oh freedom is mine
And I know how I feel"
Feeling Good by Nina Simone

One of great things about meeting up with other Flickr users such as Fragitsa and Minas is that you can talk about pictures, photographers and influences to your heart's content knowing that the others are not going to enter glazed eye mode within 30 seconds.
The other advantage is that you can take endless pictures of each other without annoying the others. Geeky? Nerdy? Absolutely. But when you see results like this by Minas then who cares what others think.

I wish all my friends who celebrate Christmas a wonderful time.
Καλες γιορτες σε ολους.

I popped into the centre to get Lydia's Xmas presents and whilst walking through the streets took the opportunity to grab a few shots. Call me cynical but it seemed that the whole place was full of people trying desperately to get shoppers to part with cash be it the form of charity, begging or ridiculous consumption.
Maybe the Puritans were right after all?

Time has not been kind to Damien Hirst. The once Wunderkind of the British art scene has been forced to seek alternative employment.
Last night was spent goofing around and having fun. Luckily, Lydia still has friends in the neighbourhood to play with. Tomorrow she is off out singing carols with Efi and Goirgos
Today was Lydia's last day at school before the they closed for the Christmas holidays and the kids put on a show for the parents. As you can see father Christmas was there handing out...cups? Oh well, it's the thought that counts.
The strange thing about the sea here is that every single day I pass by the light and the colours are different. There is always something worth photographing.
Found in a semi - abandoned building in the centre. The whole thing reminded me of Bladerunner.

"Fancy thinking the Beast was something you could hunt and kill! You knew, didn’t you? I’m part of you? Close, close, close! I’m the reason why it’s no go? Why things are what they are?"
This is the kind of photography I enjoy doing most. Blending into a crowd, trying to become invisible to the people passing by me. Trying, as far as possible for 6 foot (1.80m) SLR carrying foreigner to not to be noticed.
This week we worked on our news presentation skills. Actually, it was her idea. And I thought that this would be a great way to practice our language skills by reading out the news.
I had a spare half hour between lessons so I decided to wander down to the Modiano market which was still open at 8pm.

An X-ray of the shoulder that was dislocated during the unprovoked attack by the MAT (Greek riot police). Thankfully, now back in its right place. I had this taken a week or so ago to check that everything was OK

Lydia thought that this would make for a good image. I have to say I agree. She has a good eye, not to mention a good left hook.
Taken at the Bristol Urban Beach in summer. I was just revisiting some old shots to practice my processing skills.
