What's wrong with this picture?

I paid for these pictures with a dislocated shoulder, fractured nose, multiple bruising and smashed glasses.

All because the Greek riot police (MAT) didn't want me to take photos during a peaceful demonstration.

After being beaten, violently handcuffed( hence the dislocation), I was arrested questioned and later released without charge.

I'm sorry you were put through that ordeal. Get well soon. Maybe in the future, a more cautious approach could be to ask them (just to be safe) if you could take their picture. Best wishes.

I agree, George. If they had told me to stop, either through a gesture or verbal warning I would have immediately. However, this all happened without any kid of prior warning.

Afternoon Craig,

Mum and I have been having a read again, we did notice the Clash song, and we are glad to see you still have your sense of humour!

It's strange that cops in order to avoid a photo of them doing something elegal , they do something elegal to pevent the photo.
And you shouldn't have stoped even if they were asking you because you have the right to take any photo you like anywhere you like. I'm a "chicken" and never have done that but in a just a little bit better -far away from ideal- world we should be free to take close up portraits of these f**** bastards without been arrested, afraid or making a big deal about it.
Take care
