Gimme Shelter - The Greek 2007 elections

The general election is over here and the ruling New Democracy party was returned to power with a reduced majority (click here for details). Over the campaign I took lots of photos with the intention of showing how such elections are in Greece. Hopefully, the video I made will give a sense of what was happening here. Dramatic, but politics here tend to be so.

The music is Gimme Shelter by the Rolling Stones. All photos by Teacher Dude.

Very nice video, I Think it captures the euphoria and also devastation that governs Greek politics and this year's elections!
I hope you dont mind if we embed the video on our site that deals with the elections in a ...satirical and funny way:

Excellent work, Craig; exposition, editing and choice of soundtrack are top notch. I concur with mave that you captured the essence of the elections with your photography and this video clip. Especially, the still of the old man catching his throat in disgust is probably emblematic of the whole feeling a lot of us were left with after the ballots were cast.
Keep up the good work and don't let them get you down.
