The rest is silence

I won't be blogging for some time as I have to return back to England today. My mother died yesterday and as you can imagine it has come as a shock. Originally, I was planning to go next week but when I phoned the hospital to talk to her the doctors told me not to wait.

Unfortunately, her condition deteriorated so quickly that I was unable to get there in time.

I am so sorry, Craig. I was chatting with you one evening, a short while ago, when you got a call from England telling you she was ill ? It was very sudden and must be a terrible shock.

I don't know if there is anything anyone can say that is in any way comforting or helpful.

So I'll just say, I'm very very sorry and I am thinking of you and your family.
