I came out of a cafe in Aristotelous Square when I saw a guy in plain clothes manhandling a street seller down to the seafront. I grabbed my camera from my bag and followed the two. Within seconds five of Thessaloniki's "finest" bravely arrested public enemy No 1.
Nice to know that in a city which is experiencing a wave of bank robberies, violent crime and the like vital police resources are being used to keep our streets safe from the threat of fake handbags.
